Attachments and folders
Folders in the Files box of any record's chatter: sort the files of a client or a case by year or by kind, open a folder with a double-click, drag files in and out, and delete a folder with or without its files.
Tutorial 1
Organize a record's files in folders
Open the files of a client, look inside the folder that holds this year's papers, come back to all the files, then make a folder for contracts and see how a file is moved into it.
How-to 3
Create and rename a folder
Add a folder to the files of a record from the top bar of its chatter, name it as you create it, and change its name later from the pencil on its card.
Put files in a folder
Move the files of a record into its folders by dragging their cards, add new files straight into an open folder with Attach files, and take a file out again onto All files.
Delete a folder
Remove a folder you no longer need from the files of a record. An empty folder goes at once; for one that still holds files, you choose whether the files stay on the record or go with it.
Explanation 1
How folders work on a record
What a folder is and which record it belongs to, how files and folders relate, where folders appear, who may change them, what deleting does, and what the folders do not do.
