Tutorial 1

Your first case

Open a case for a client with its lawyers and court, put it in progress, schedule its first hearing from the case, and see where the hearings, evidence and judgments of the case come together.

How-to 7

Open a case

Record a court case with its client and the client's role, its lawyers, court and case number, the other parties and who may see it, or open it from a client request; cancel it or change its client later.

Schedule a hearing and record its minutes

Add a hearing to a case in progress with its date and lawyers, prepare its requirements, and close it with the minutes of the session; find every hearing in the Hearings app.

Record a judgment

Record the court's judgment on a case with its stage, number, outcome, date and decree; a won or lost judgment closes the case as won or lost and, against the client, can open the deadline to appeal or revoke.

Appeal, reconsider or revoke a judgment

After a primitive judgment, take the case to appeal before another court or request a reconsideration; after an appeal judgment, request its revocation; the case goes back in progress at the new stage.

Add evidence to a case

Record each piece of evidence of a case with a short summary, the party it concerns and its description and files, and find the evidence of every case in one list.

Bill a case

Create the client's invoice from the case for the whole case or per hearing, follow its invoices from the case, and choose the products the case and hearing fees are billed under.

Print case and hearing reports

Print the list of cases or of hearings for a period, lawyers, states or clients, and the lists of the cases and hearings nobody has touched for a number of days.

Explanation 1

How cases work

A case moves from draft to in progress, then won or lost by its judgments, through appeal, reconsideration or revocation, or is canceled; hearings, evidence and judgments hang on it, and access and privacy decide who sees it.
