Tutorial 1

Your first consultation

Open the consultations and remove the filter to see them all, record one for a client with its lawyers and deadline, approve it so the lawyers start drafting, and mark it done once the response and the advice are written.

How-to 6

Record a consultation

Record a consultation with its client, deadline and lawyers, the question and the other parties, choose who may see it, or register it straight from a client request of the Requests app.

Approve or reject a consultation

Accept a draft consultation so its lawyers start drafting the response, or reject it with a reason that stays on record; the reasons are a list the firm keeps and a manager edits.

Answer a consultation and close it

Write the response and the advice on an approved consultation, send the report to the client by email or print it, and mark the consultation done so it leaves the work in progress.

Bill a consultation

Create the client's invoice from the consultation itself with the amount of the fees, follow what is invoiced and unpaid on the consultation, and choose the product the fees are billed under.

Set deadlines and automatic activities

Let every new consultation remind its lawyers to approve or reject it, and every approved one remind them to draft it, each within the days you choose; overdue consultations turn late on their own.

Print consultation reports

Print the list of consultations for a period, lawyers, states or clients, and the list of consultations nobody has touched for a number of days.

Explanation 1

How consultations work

A consultation moves from draft to approved, late, done or rejected; lawyers, deadlines and activities keep it moving, access levels and privacy decide who sees it, and it can start from a client request.
