Tutorial 1

The first minute in Accounting

Open the five screens an accountant comes back to every day, the dashboard, the chart of accounts, the taxes, the journals and the settings, and learn what each one holds before changing anything.

How-to 5

Review the chart of accounts

Read the chart of accounts the package installed, find an account by its code or its name, and add an account of your own with its code, name and type.

Create a journal

Add a journal from the journals list, name it and pick its type, then find it in the list with its sequence prefix and default account.

Set the default taxes

Choose the sales tax and the purchase tax that new products receive, read the list of taxes the package installed, and open one tax to see its rate and where it applies.

Define the fiscal year

Set the last day of the company's fiscal year, and when a year is shorter or longer than twelve months, turn on fiscal years and record its start and end dates.

Accounting settings

What each option of the Accounting settings does in plain words, from the localization package, the default taxes and the main currency to the fiscal year, the invoice signature and the deferred entries.
