Fixed assets
Record what the firm buys to keep for years and spread its cost with one depreciation entry per period, spread prepaid costs and income over their months, and pause, change, sell or dispose of each record.
Tutorial 1
Record a first asset
Record a meeting room screen bought for 3,600.00, let a template fill its method and accounts, confirm it and read the depreciation schedule that spreads its cost over three years.
How-to 5
Create assets from a vendor bill
Tick Asset on a vendor bill, give each line an asset template, confirm the bill and let it create and confirm one asset per line, linked to the bill it came from.
Spread a prepaid cost or income
Record a year of rent paid in advance, or a retainer billed up front, as a deferral that moves one share to expense or revenue at the end of each month.
Pause or change an asset
Use Adjust on a running asset to change its duration, interval or salvage value and rebuild the entries not yet posted, or to mark it paused and resume it later.
Sell or dispose of an asset
Close an asset that is sold, thrown away or written off with one closing entry that removes it from the books and records the gain or the loss, then post that entry.
Fixed asset settings
The depreciation journal and the refresh of template accounts in the Accounting settings, then the asset templates and categories that every new asset and deferral starts from.

Fixed asset automations
What happens without a click: the daily posting of the entries whose date has come, the offer to create assets when a bill is confirmed, what installation sets up, and how to stop each one.
Explanation 1
How assets and deferrals work
One record for assets, prepaid expenses and income received in advance, how its schedule is computed, which actions each state allows, how the entries get posted, and what the app does not do.
