Tutorial 1

First steps with your website

Open the Website app on your home page, choose the website you work on, add one line to the home page in the editor, check it at phone width and see who visited.

How-to 10

Create a website

Add a second website to the same database from the Website settings, with its own name, domain and languages, then go through the setup wizard or skip it and start from an empty home page.

Website settings

Every option of the Website settings in plain words: the website they apply to, its domain, languages, name, icon and company, customer accounts, visit tracking, the sharing image, the cookies bar and two developer-mode options.

Add a page

Add a page to the website from the New menu, blank or from a ready-made template, give it a title, put it in the menu or not, then save it and publish it when it is ready.

Edit a page

Open a page in the editor to change its texts, add, move or remove blocks, replace pictures and check it at phone width, then save your changes or discard them.

Manage pages

Change the title, address and menu entry of a page, publish it now or on a date, keep it from search engines or behind a sign-in, and publish, duplicate or delete pages from the Pages list.

Edit the menu

Add, rename, reorder, nest or remove the items of the website's main menu in the Menu Editor, link an item to a page, an address or an e-mail, and add a mega menu.

Translate a page

Give a page its words in the website's second language. Open it in that language, switch the editor to translation mode, type over the yellow texts, swap a picture when needed and save.

Create a blog

Create a blog with its name and subtitle, choose the website that shows it, see where visitors find it in the menu, and set the look of the blog pages of the website.

Write a blog post

Start a post from the New menu of the website, write its text in the editor, give it a cover, a subtitle and tags, and choose how post pages look before you publish it.

Edit, publish or delete a post

Find a post in the list of blog posts, change its text or its details, publish or unpublish it, schedule it with a publishing date, and archive or delete it.

Website automations

What the website does by itself: two scheduled jobs that switch off the files of unused blocks and clear old anonymous visitors, the two actions behind the reporting menus, and what happens on a visit or a save.

Explanation 1

How the website works

What a website is in the database, which website answers an address, how pages, menus and languages belong to it, what published and indexed mean, how visits are counted, who may change what, and what the app does not do.
